All i can say is Wow, They are really much better than i anticipated.
The headphones are very solidly built, You open them into speakers by squeezing some hidden buttons on either side of the top section. The music's Volume Fades in to Speaker mode, great mids and lows, All around great set of speakers.
They dont work as well as i thought they would for telephone use. Much better performance in a quiet environment.
I couldnt get them to work as a stereo source for my computer, But they work perfectly with my HTC touch.
Its great that they charge over USB and they also are Plug N play Over USB so full digital audio.
It sounds and looks strange, Maybe I'll post a video review, But they sound really crisp when you flip them out and put them on your head, so the speakers are hovering over your ears, you kind of look like a rabbit, but the stereo is perfect.
I really am surprised by the clarity of the speaker mode, Comparable to Loud clear laptop speakers, Like found on the XPS m1710.
The buttons are a little difficult to get used to but they are extremely functional, (works with both FF next track and RW Back track and STOP by holding play mode on the HTC touch)
One thing i want to point out is that these ARE NOT BT 2.0, The hardware revision is BT 1.2 (from manual).
THESE ARE HANDS DOWN The most clear bluetooth headphones or speakers i have heard, The headphone mode is not as loud as i would like, Maybe someone can hack that?
I have owned 5 different pairs of Bluetooth 1.2 headphones and they have all blipped and cut out for seconds at a time when playing in-range, i am very happy to say the only time i have heard static is when roaming 20-50ft away from my phone.
Dedicated Pairing button is a plus, makes it much easier to pair.
Mini-usb universal connector is another plus.
Battery life is very good, the headphones came charged enough for a few hours of use, Outer side of the headphones has that "rubberized Plastic" feel that is used on the HTC touch, Inspiron Laptops, HTC wing tmobile etc very smooth grippy feel to it.
All in all, These are Part Headphone, Part Amazing wall of portable sound. Definitely loud enough to be background music with 0 blows pops or crackles.
I would reccomend these to anyone who wants to get a Really creative Gift for a techie who has a newer phone, I bet these would work great with the Platstation 3 as well.
This is definitely one of the best purchases i have made in a while, very innovative, very well made. |
Sounds good, but poor fit

I bought this knowing that it looks odd on the head, I look like an alien when worn. It fits very poorly for oval face like me. The headset just extends barely covering the ear. This leaves enormous stress on the upper ear and it aches a lot.
Pairs very well with BT phones and laptop. Must use Widcomm driver, will not work with MS default driver.
Audio is intermittent when listening to music (from laptop) and simultaneously fiddle with the phone. Not sure if this is feature or a limitation.
Update:I forgot to add that the sound quality is awesome. |

| I made the mistake of thinking I was going to be able to use this for gaming wirelessly. The Sound when in game is about half a second off. But I didn't not mark off a star for this as I know it was not really intended for it. The sound of the headset is great, and the speaker sound is great as well. The distance achieved through bluetooth it is very good too. My only complaint really is actually just a couple of design faults I found with it. 1, I thought the size was actually going to be larger as I like Large headphones for in home use, From the picture I thought these would actually cover my ears completely but rather just rested on them. The functionality of the connectivity needs work and the simultaneous function needs to be perfected. It was very difficult to get this connected to my PC and my Cell phone at the same time. The headphones are good for the time being I can just get a USB extension for whenever I want to game and It's really not that bad. But when and if I can find a better wireless bluetooth headset with some of the same features...I will definitely buy it over this one. |
Fabulous

| I love this headset. The bass is surprisingly punchy and overall sound quality for music and calls is quite good. The sound quality is especially good when the headset is extended into a speaker -- amazing actually. The bluetooth reception is reliable. Call quality is fine and listeners claim they can hear me without a problem. Fit is okay -- they press on my ears a bit and are a bit stiff that way, but the felt is soft. I could probably wear for 30-60 minutes continuously, but probably not much more. One beautiful thing, and I wasn't sure if this would work -- you can be listening to music with the speakers extended... if a call comes in, you can quickly collapse them and put them on your head, or simply answer the call. Of course, the music stops once you decide to take the call, then when the call finishes, the music keeps playing. This behavior may be more of a bluetooth/Blackberry thing, but I was glad to see it all works seamlessly. My only wish is that they'd collapse for traveling or just be a little smaller, although looks like Jabra is about to come out with the 'Halo' headset, just for this purpose. (FYI - I've been using w/a Blackberry Bold.) |

| I bought this product recently and it is definitely above my expectations. Kodus to Jabra for bringing to the market such innovative and excellent product. The sound is very clear using bluetooth and the speaker function is simple yet powerful to share music with a small group. Conversation using this BT8030 is also very clear. Cheers! |
