Simply The Best Bluetooth Headset ***Jabra JX10***

Bluetooth headsets come in a variety of shapes and sizes, the Jabra JX10 Bluetooth headset stands apart as one of the most unusual models I have seen, not to say this is a bad thing. With its fine lines and eye catching design, the JX10 is a very distinctive headset.

The industrial looking Jabra JX10 is a solid, well built device that offers its users fine audio quality, comfort, and stability. The JX10 has an aluminum body full of angles and curves with matte black accents. The aluminum silver base proved quite resistant to scratches and dings when out in the wild.

One of the few headsets that I found that would work with my Motorola Q smartphone. It works great.
Great With Limitations

I've had 2 of the Jabra JX-10's over the past year or so. Recently I've tried to replace it with some disappointment. Having recently purchased the Bang & Olufson bluetooth headset and the Aliph Jawbone I'm left with these overall remarks regarding the Jabra.

Good
1. Amazingly small size and relatively comfortable fit.
2. Great Battery Life.
3. Simple use, and good tactile feel.
4. Great sound quality.

Bad
1. The earhook will (no question here) break in a relatively short period of time. The teeth that attach the earhook to the unit snap and allows the earhook to lose it's grip. You cannot put this headset in your pocket or purse when not using it or this will occur time after time again. If you go to Jabra's website you will see that it's on the front page for replacement earhooks. (They know this is a problem) The good news here is that they don't charge for replacement earhooks and they are quite fast at mailing them to you. My advice is to order some replacements when you get the phone because you will go through those first two exceptionally fast. Especially if you are not careful with the headset.
2. There is relatively no noise cancellation technology here. This is great in quiet cars and at home, but try walking on a street or in a mall, and it's rendered worthless.

In the end this is a great headset. But only for people who consciously pamper their possessions. I got both my assistant one and my girlfriend one. They loved using it for about a month. After the earhooks broke twice in that time they basically chucked in the trash. It's great, light and cheap, but just make sure you can deal with having to be so careful with it!
great headset for the treo 700p

I bought this item for the treo 700p and it works wonderfully. The battery life is excellent, I can use it for > 10 ft. away from my phone, it's easy to operate, it doesn't hurt your ears like other headsets, and it looks stylish.

The one advice I have for people who buy bluetooth headsets, don't automatically go for the cheaper headset...you get what you pay for. I bought the Explorer 320 from plantronics (much cheaper headset) and it would give a crackling noise if i placed my phone on the opposite side of the heaset or if i buttoned my jacket! I also checked and the palm website said that the headset was compatible for the treo 700p.

I personally think that the reception and battery life on the headset are the two most important things over style and price. What good is a bluetooth headset that works only in the line of site & only 3-4 ft from a phone? you can get an excellent wired headset that does the same thing for $20 cheaper!
Excellent product

This blue tooth headset delivers high quality sound (both ways), fits comfortably and its very light. I had another Jabra headset of previous generation and this one is a dramatic improvement. The only short coming is lack of battery meter. Although the battery has very long life, I still could sometimes run out of power in the middle of conversation.
